Assalamu alaikum warahmatuLlah wabarakatuHu.
How is your week going? Khair, in sha Allah.
I hope these daily reminders bring some softness to your heart.
Awhile ago I came across a post on WhatsApp about a conversation a son had with his mother.
In the conversation, the son said to his mother “please give me a piece of advice ”
The mother replied and said “Don't let anyone complain to Allah about you.”
Her words stuck to me and I couldn't help but ponder over it.
As humans, we sometimes behave in unpleasant manners to others consciously or subconsciously.
We may not realize the total effect of our words or actions on people but one thing is I have come to realize is that people talk to Allah.
People communicate their deepest feelings with Allah.
They know well enough that He is the only One who has the solutions to their problems.
It also reminded me of something I saw on Twitter:
Imam Shafi’i said, “There is a verse in the Quran that every wrongdoer should be terrified of.”
He was asked, “Which verse is that?”
He replied:
“And your Lord never forgets”
[Surah Maryam: 64]
I tried reconciling both & it dawned on me. You see, Allah is Al-Hakam and He is the Best of judges.
No matter goes unacknowledged in His sight and no stone goes unturned in His court.
Al-Hakam refers to the totality of Allah’s power to judge and arbitrate with perfect justice and immense mercy, which cannot be compared with the judging and arbitrating of any other created being.
Follow what has been revealed to you, and be steadfast until Allah’s judgment comes. He is the Best of Judges. [Quran, 10:109].
How Can You Live By This Name?
•Remember Al-Hakam and stand up for the truth.
As Muslims, we should always stand up for what is right even if it is in a matter that doesn't favour us. Remember you will stand before Him one day and mind your actions.
• Make the Qur'an and Sunnah your guide.
You should make the Quran and sunnah your guidance between right and wrong in everything you do, to guide you in your personal life, your community, your society, your interactions with others, your business, etcetera.
• Try as much as possible to be fair and equal to others.
Whenever you are put in a position to judge between parties try as much as possible to be fair.
Al-Hakam is Hearing and Seeing all the actions of His slaves.
In conclusion, always remember that Allah is Al-Hakam and He never wrongs anyone and is never oppressive, He is the only true judge; no one can overturn His judgement and no one can ever appeal His decree!
As a friend, a spouse, a child, a parent, a colleague, a boss, a businessman or whichever category you fall under always remember these words- Don't let anyone complain to Allah about you.
O Allah, Al-Hakam, we know You are the Perfect Judge. Aid us to adhere to your legislation in our daily lives, make us of those who are equal and just to others and of those who always stand up for the truth. Protect us from the injustice of others, adorn us with reliance upon You and Your justice at all times, ameen!

Warmest Salaam,
Halimah.
This really resonated with me. Many of us hardly consider how we act towards other people.
May Allah make us among the righteous.
